Audit or Edit

I laugh at myself, mixing audit and edit,
a course of study that I could pursue.
For my age, I am seeking waiving of credit;
guess attempting to edit won't do.

So, if I choose, am accepted, and do,
take part in this study with audit,
I'll be more accepted as I see it through,
if I learn, not amend, but applaud it.
