Gift of Today

Today, it is the time to look ahead;
the bumps or flowers met with yesterday,
our eyes may clear, allow our feet to tread,
avoiding stumbling blocks along the way.

It's time to view with expectations nil,
assuming not affliction or a lift,
but let the new day show our Fathers will,
remembering that the present is a gift.
