Illumined
Sometimes it dawns; we are enlightened;
some truth breaks unexpected through.
I, who was uninformed and frightened,
foolishly trailed my point of view.
And, how it came or what produced it,
I do not know or have control,
but some small element of spirit
changed its hue within my soul.
And, will I recall tomorrow,
the touch You brought? I hope I will.
For then, in happiness or sorrow,
in that, I have Your presence still.
And, cheerful thought, I sense Your moving,
not leaving half-full change, though sweet.
That banished doubt, Your presence proving,
You'll continue 'til I am complete.
