Memories of Linda
The time has come to say a last goodbye,
although the years have moved you far away.
Thoughts come of when we chased the butterfly,
picked daisies in the fields of fragrant hay.
The liveliness that bubbled out of you,
the cheer your presence brought us for so long,
as intermittent times allowed our view
to join in chat, ideas shared, and song.
I see you skipping by the hollyhocks,
the wonders of the ocean with your child.
The world has been warmed by your smile and talks,
You linger in our hearts, dear, undefiled.
