News and Living
Airwaves buzzing with atrocities,
national debt is at a record high.
Virtue is exchanged for fun and ease.
what future is there for you and I?
Like the fog, dense in early morning,
vision is askew and vaguely dim.
Do we heed or just avoid the warning,
see possibilities as gone or grim.
A new day begins in our small corner;
what difference we can make is small,
but do we set ourselves as scorner,
that small efforts may a woe forestall?
Beyond the goals of men with might in mind,
there are those who seek the common good.
Every wind however turned can find,
some purposing to uplift if they could.
A step we take and then a step ahead,
to treat with love the circle that is here.
While all around us whirls cause for dread,
trust in God and hope may touch our little sphere.
