Receipt Versus Defeat
"It's a word to the wise."
the sages say.
Often, though, it slips by ears and eyes,
along the way.
"Just hold your tongue when you're not sure,"
words aptly said.
Those blurted-out words that frowns incur,
to shame have led.
Plan ahead, guard amply to avoid,
confusion of lost facts,
some organization in sanity employed,
proof in hand, avoiding careless acts.
With joy, just now, I do proclaim success;
instead of bitter pill, the answer sweet:
a refund instead of grim redress.
Keep the receipt.
