Diversity of Value

The poet and the physicist
appraised the world so vast,
the fleeting entities to list
and what was apt to last.

They shared with the philosopher,
who said, what is today,
although consumed, not to defer,
of more import may weigh.

When that which was is all amassed,
predicted what may be,
the moment lived may well outlast
what's gained materially.

Marvel at particle and ray,
and mysteries of the mind;
joy we receive and give away,
an aura leaves behind.
